Friends of Bathurst Basin are very concerned about proposals to build a block of flats in the railway cutting alongside Guinea Street. It will destroy the view of an historical feature – the railway tunnel opening that linked Temple Meads station with Bristol harbourside. And the current proposal is simply too dominant. Barossa Place, Jubilee Place and parts of the General will be seriously affected.
