Impact of COVID-19 on Bathurst Basin
The impact of COVID-19 and the steps taken by the government to protect the community are very visible around Bathurst Basin. The public car park remains empty for much of the day and the number of people commuting through the area has dropped off considerably. There is less air pollution and residents can now hear song birds preparing for Spring.
The 3rd
When Pi Shop closed in 2018, owner Peter Sanchez-Iglesias promised “some epic future projects”. Located between two Michelin-starred restaurants, Casamia and Paco Tapas, the space will from tomorrow become a new concept called ‘The 3rd’. Opening around 10am on 20th March, The 3rd will serve croissants, bread and meal boxes. As this will be their first day, stocks will initially be limited , so first come first served! We wish them well for a long term success.
