We are in touch with the Harbour Master about the large amount of rubbish that often accumulates in Bathurst Basin. Our image (right) was taken on the evening of 3rd July.
Cleaning up the large volume of rubbish in the harbour is a challenging task. Bathurst Basin seems to be more prone to the accumulation of rubbish and may need more regular attention by the Harbour authorities.
We’ve had a commendably quick response from Joe Downes (from the Council’s Transport Asset Management department) following emails to him about missing street signs on Lower Guinea Street. Read more “Street-sign success”
Following the extensive conversion work on the General Hospital, we have lost the road signs on Lower Guinea Street which runs from the public Council Car Park to the Ostrich Inn. The street has existed for hundreds of years and it really should be signposted with appropriate street name plates.
