On 9 August divers found the body of a 17 year old who drowned in Bristol harbour. There was concern that life rings may not have been serviceable. It is good to note that Harbour Master staff visit Bathurst Basin weekly and check that life rings and ropes are visible, properly secured and in good order.
Do you know where they are located? Next time you walk about the Basin, do look for them in case one day you can help some one in distress.
